For those of you who have not seen this film yet.
The 8th dan kendo exam is said to be the hardest test to pass in Japan.
For me, it shows what true devotion to any art means. Succeeding is not the most important part, but the determination to keep on learning, and to never, ever give up!

If you google with:
8th dan kendo exam

You will get the right hits. You can see it in japanese with english subtitles, or (National Geographic) english spoken with japanese subtitles.
